My buddy made an entry about her disease, so I thought I'd make one of mine. If you read my previous entry, you saw that I mentioned my Crohn's Disease, and most of you probably don't know what that is. Well, never fear becaouse I have answers!

You see, Crohn's disease is sore spots in your digestive system. It could be anywhere in it from your mouth to your colon. Mine is in my colon, so sometimes I have extremely painful "#3's" and can result in weeks of being sick and my colon bleeding...badly. I've had it for about three years. Along with the sore spots, it effect other places in your body regardless where you have it: Eyes, joints, livers, kidneys, and that's just to name a few. It also comes with a very low amune system.

Most people live normal lives and it's very common in young people. I'm glad that my friend who posted her's lives a normal life. I'm not trying to put a pity party on anyone and I don't want your sympathy, but I don't live a normal life from this disease. I'm constantly sick for weeks (as I said above). It affects everything I do, and puts stress on my loved ones. Sometimes, I go out with my mother or my friends expecting to be out for a while having fun. But, Crohn's soon turns it's ugly head and I get sick in the middle of our time, and have to cut the trip short. I have to bail out on my friends because I'm sick and now I have to go to a special tutoring school because I've missed so much.

I don't have Crohn's. Crohn's has me.
